About Me

A Stitch In Pine is a small, boutique shop based in Lawnside, New Jersey, specializing in one-of-a-kind, unique items that blend the beauty and skill of woodworking with the creativity and versatility of fiber arts.

I have been sewing since the age of 8, spinning and weaving since age 15, woodworking since 18, and making clothes since my 20s. I tried the office world, I tried the education world. In the end, I’m happiest in a shop. I love to share my craft. I’m very passionate about the issue of fabric waste. Crafting inherently creates a lot of waste, and I am always looking for new ways to utilize even the smallest scraps to make something worthwhile.

There is a unique fulfillment that comes from taking a pile of things, raw materials, things considered trash, and turning them into something useful and beautiful.

“If it’s fiber, I can work with it. Wood is fiber.”
